The Quality Excellence Quality Management System Manager participates in the development, maintenance, management, and implementation of Agropur's integrated Quality Management System (QMS).

They work to ensure harmonization of Agropur's policies, directives, procedures, instructions, guides and references and work to ensure they are aligned with best practices (Canadian and American).


Quality Management System management is also a combination of engaging stakeholders in the revision and facilitation of quality guidance documentation.

Agropur's QMS is managed in collaboration with multiple workstreams.


QMS Program
Establishment, management, and impact assessment of Agropur's QMS program.

  • Facilitate the QMS Standardization process based on priority.
  • Continuously improve and harmonize site quality compliance and implementation; increase quality awareness
  • Establish, implement, and maintain QMS initiatives
  • Monitor the implementation of Agropur's Quality Standards in all Agropur operations
  • Provide reports and/or necessary documentation to applicable stakeholders for the implementation of QMS
  • Direct support for change management and the implementation of QMS
  • Support the development and implementation of readiness master plans (all sites)
  • Provide training and guidance on QMS
  • Ensure knowledge is transferred across the organization (i.e., observations, risks, gaps, best practices, trends)
  • Lead periodic meetings for information sharing
  • Implement a change management and verification procedure to elevate best practice QMS standardization while minimizing impact to our operations
  • Collaborate to develop guides, tools, processes, decision trees and training to build employee knowledge, awareness, and competencies of QMS

Key Capability Indicators

  • Establishment and management of Agropur's Quality Key Capability Indicators (KCI);
  • Assess KCI deviations and risks to define best practice recommendations.
  • Collaboratively develop training programs for QMS and deploy them to employees.
  • Monitoring of defined KCIs
  • Trend analysis of defined KCIs
  • Review of QMS dashboard
  • Provide guidance and training on KCIs
  • Assess impact of knowledge, awareness and competency building activities of Quality Standards
  • Ensure knowledge is transferred across the organization
  • Collaborate on Quarterly KCI of QMS review
  • Lead periodic meetings to help drive KCI

Site QMS Assessment Program

  • Develop a site assessment program that includes.
  • Corporate assessment
  • Plant internal assessment
  • Train employees on QMS assessments, risk assessment, influencing and coaching skills
  • Collaboratively define priority sites and Quality Standards implementation strategies for Quality Standards Alignment
  • Responsible for QMS
  • Lead the preparation and management of assessments (at corporate level)
  • Lead an internal assessment team to assess deviations, risks and best practices in order to define recommendations for the harmonization and implementation of best practice QMS.
  • Provide guidance and training on assessments
  • Ensure knowledge is transferred across the organization
  • Lead periodic meetings

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree (microbiology, chemistry, biochemistry, food technology or related)
  • Excellent English
  • Functional French (asset)
  • Minimum 10 years in Quality and/or Operations in Agrifood (including 5 in management)
  • Minimum 3 years experience with QMS, document control systems and GMP
  • Can develop programs and design solutions from scratch
  • Riskbased approach / awareness of business impact / objectivity and integrity, in decisionmaking
  • Ability to support the production and distribution of complex tracking reports
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Fastpaced work environment
  • Strong communication, teamwork, problem solving, decision making, and root cause analysis skills are required
  • Previous experience delivering training related to QMS
