The Role

In this role as a Project Coordinator at Upward Construction, you'll play a pivotal role as the bridge between our construction sites and office, supporting Project Managers in organizing ongoing projects.


You'll be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery and execution of project paperwork, guiding projects from due diligence through to successful completion.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this role offers hands-on experience within a passionate team dedicated to excellence in people, culture, and building practices


What You'll Do

  • Assist Project Managers with preparing and implementing project scopes, schedules, supply requirements and budgets
  • Reporting of project progress and productivity to senior management and clients
  • Support all aspects of construction administration including analyzing and organizing specifications, drawings, contracts and documents.
  • Communicate project details and work cohesively with teams of subcontractors, clients/owners, architects, and other project stakeholders, which includes participating actively in meetings as required.
  • Assist with preparation of permit packages and submissions
  • Create and manage project tender records including coordination of bids from selected trades
  • Assist preparing budgets, monthly costing forecasts, and schedule updates
  • Review and assist with updates through project management software
  • Assist with design on new projects for permit submissions.
  • Review site progress weekly.

  • A passion for construction and project management
  • Construction experience
  • Knowledge of
    B.C. Building Code (an asset)
  • Knowledge of wood framed construction (preferable)
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skill
  • Problemsolving and troubleshooting expertise
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Recognized analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Including: Excel, Office, and Outlook)
  • Experience with
    AutoCAD or a similar design program
    (required):
  • Experience with
    BuilderTrend (an asset)

Pay:
$28.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
