GFL Environmental is looking for an DZ Driver to join our growing Solid team out of our Aurora Location. The DZ Driver/Loader will be primarily responsible for curbside pickup of waste/recycling containers on the assigned route.

Responsibilities:

Collect and transport residential recycling to designated sites in an efficient and appropriate manner

Adhere to the collection and delivery schedule while following all relevant policies and procedures of the Company, the MTO, Ministry of Environment as well as the by-laws of the Municipality in which you are working.

Recycling receptacles that are emptied into the collection vehicle must be placed back on the resident's property, flipped upside down at the curb, in the same place that they were removed from.

Recycling containers can weigh up to 50 lbs. and need to be lifted from the ground up approximately 2 feet into the hopper
You will be required to make in excess of 900 residential stops per day.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

DZ Licence
Newly licenced drivers are welcome to apply

Excellent Driving record.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Must be flexible and dependable
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in difficult situations
