Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Safety & Quality-Control Coordinator to join our team.

This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, implementing safety programs, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.

Quality control duties as required in

Duties and Responsibilities:

Implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations
Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention
Coordinate safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing training sessions
Collaborate with department managers to develop jobspecific safety protocols and procedures
Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities
Filing of all H&S documentation and other filing as required
Stay uptodate on industry best practices and changes in safety regulations

Job Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role as a Safety Coordinator or Safety Specialist
Safety certificates would be beneficial
Strong knowledge of OH&S regulations and other relevant safety standards
Experience conducting safety inspections and accident investigations
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and problemsolving abilities in all aspects of safety training and reporting
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fastpaced team environment
Knowledge of lumber industry materials
Position requires indoor and outdoor tasks, in all weather conditions
