The Inside Sales Representative role is a full-time, onsite position located in the West Island of Montreal.


What You'll Do:


  • Execute daily outbound sales calls & manage inbound calls.
  • Preparing quotes and follow up with customer quotes.
  • Advising customers of purchase order status, ship dates & pricing.
  • Able to communicate technical specifications to customers and suppliers.
  • Coordinate shipments to customers with the sales manager and plant personnel.
  • Retain and expand customer accounts.
  • Create account plans and achieve sales objectives.
  • Align with internal resources to execute action plans.
  • Emailing shipping notices and invoices to customers.
  • Tracing payments from customers for overdue accounts receivables.
  • Coordinate shipments to and from US facility.
  • Prepare pack list for shipments out of the warehouse.
  • Search for freight rates for outgoing and incoming shipments (if necessary).
  • Review backlog report and coordinate shipment from the warehouse.
  • Work with accounting to reconcile and settle supplier invoices.
  • Actively participate in daily/monthly sales and production meetings.
  • Entering and calculating commission sales and rebates.
  • Entering customer orders in Epicor. Training will be provided.
  • Understand end market trends and industry best practices; utilize relevant value propositions to those end markets.

What You Have:


  • CEGEP, technical college or university degree. Knowledge of electrical cables and wires, electro engineering or technical wiring.
  • 25 years' sales experience or equivalent, preferably in an industrial setting, selling B2B.
  • Customercentric skills and team approach.
  • Knowledge of either the rail industry and/or the wiring and cable industry is an asset.
  • Bilingual proficiency skills in both English and French, written and oral are required.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales objectives.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior knowledge of Epicor, and Salesforce programs is an asset but not required; training will be provided.
  • Ability to meet local customers with senior management and attend industry sponsored events.
  • Potential to attend industry sponsored events.
