DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
- process payroll including all bi
- weekly payrolls, balancing reports and year
- end T
- 4 requirements accurately and on schedule
- Responsible for managing the HRIS system to ensure effective recording, maintaining, and reporting of human resource information, updating employee files, status changes, address changes, training, and disciplinary records, etc
- Completes full cycle recruitment functions for seasonal and other roles, including the collection of internal requisitions, creating advertising and posting jobs, prescreening applicants in the HRIS on the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), administrating the onboarding process, and coordinating thirdparty background screenings and offboarding
- Administer benefit plan program support
- Assist with the creation and implementation of guidelines, standard operating policies, procedures, and manuals as required
- Acts as a point of contact to respond to the employee general HR related inquiries
- Administer employee engagement projects and activities
- Identifies opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service delivery
- Performs other HR and accounting duties as assigned
- Liaise with General Managers and operating personnel
EXPERIENCE AND DESIRED TRAITS
- Experience using an HRIS, ideally BambooHR, Applicant Tracking Systems, and digital recruitment platforms
- Experience in Payroll processing administration and knowledge of Canadian payroll rules and regulations
- QuickBooks familiarity would be an asset
- Good working knowledge of employment law (i.e., Employment Standards, Human Rights)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Applications
- Excellent English writing and oral communication skills
- Understanding of HR process best practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
- Selfmotivated, organization and problemsolving skills and the ability to work with a minimum of supervision to manage, organize and prioritize work to adhere to project deadlines
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all levels of staff and, the public
- Flexibility to work required hours to meet financial cycle due dates
EDUCATION
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, an asse
EXPERIENCE:
- 13 years of generalist work experience in Payroll or a Human Resource Department
