Job Reports To:
Restaurant Manager


Key Activities:


Reporting to 1 Elgin restaurant's Supervisors, you are accountable for the operation of the Bar and to provide friendly, courteous and efficient service to customers and servers.

You are also responsible for closing-up the bar at the end of your shift and for balancing cash receipts against the register sales.


Skill Requirements:


  • Postsecondary Diploma and a completion of bartending and mixology program;
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in bartending;
- "Smart Serve" Certificate;

  • Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations;
  • Experience with the general public in a customer service setting;
  • Experience with money transactions and good working knowledge of P.O.S. system (i.e. Squirrel);
  • Flexible and available to work within an irregular schedule, weekends, evenings and day shifts;
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced and busy environment;
  • Fluency in both official languages is required;
  • A past record of satisfactory attendance and punctuality is a requirement.
