JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties:
- P4 Program Manager, Distribution Line Capital Programs:
- Responsibilities include team leadership and program management to ensure that the distribution
- programs includes underground Distribution End-of-life Replacements. The program manager
- shall ensure that appropriate controls are applied to the management of the work so that
- expectations are met and managed. The program manger shall lead the team in the preparation of
- the ongoing delivery plan to ensure that work bundling and planning activities set the organization
- up for safe and efficient delivery. Other key activities include making sure that the team is
- resourced appropriately, employing CLRA where required, includes management of transitions
- and onboarding. The program manager interfaces with Integrated Planning and Delivery Partners,
- to ensure goals are aligned and relationships are functioning well. Team development, team
- building and management of consultant resources are key activities.
- High Level Job Description:
- Manages Distribution End of Life Portfolio of appx $56M focused on Underground related
- Works closely with Distribution OH Program Manager / Team Lead to develop or support
work- Leads and manages escalations required by the team or management
- Reports program progress on weekly, monthly, and quarterly (Scorecard, PCB, Reliability,
Qualifications:
(in addition to- Demonstrated leadership ability. Position leads a diverse team of employees and contract PMs.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent level of education along with demonstrated experience in a
experience within an electric utility, engineering firm, construction contractor or similar
- environment.
- Demonstrated welldeveloped communication, facilitation, negotiation and interpersonal skills
and analyses challenging problems, evaluates risks and applies innovative solutions.- Demonstrated excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills with ability to resolve
conflicts in a proactive manner- Demonstrated ability to recognize when project level, program level, or portfolio level attention is
required- Demonstrated ability to problem solve considering impacts and collaborative solutions
- Considerable knowledge of BC Hydro's business drivers and operational responses is
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
A condition of employment for this job is that you maintain the following requirements in good
standing:
Driver's License Type = Class 5
This FTR position is headquartered at Edmonds reporting to the Manager PCM Lines
Minimal travel < 10% may be required.
