WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER:


The Agreements Specialist will work closely with Finance, Legal, and Conservation staff members to support the advancement of the mission and strategic priorities of Nature United.

The primary function of this position will be to administer the grants and contracts (Agreements) process for the organization which includes drafting, conducting due diligence, obtaining approvals, database maintenance, facilitating execution, internal and external communication, electronic storage/filing, and associated invoice entry.

The Agreements Specialist will work with their supervisor to ensure all Agreements for the organization are processed effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with Nature United's standard operating procedures.


In addition, the Agreements Specialist will keep up to date on best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline team functions, aid continuous improvement initiatives, and provide general office management support.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE

  • Responsible for drafting contracts, grants, and other agreements within assigned portfolio.
  • Ensures agreement compliance with programmatic commitments, Nature United policies and procedures, financial standards, legal requirements, and donor terms and conditions.
  • Maintains and updates agreements database and reporting tools.
  • Financial responsibility includes tracking spending on agreements, submitting invoices for payment, and supporting the Finance department with payment tracking and forecasting.
  • Collaborates with the Operations Specialist to execute operational improvement initiatives.
  • Works independently, working with manager/team on complex matters as needed.
  • Makes independent decisions within the scope of work assignments.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 2 years related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.
  • Experience with database programs.
  • Experience working across teams and communicating with a wide range of people.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete tasks independently within set timelines, under mínimal supervision.
  • Experience designing and implementing administrative processes.
  • Basic financial and grant management experience.

SALARY INFORMATION:

The estimated starting salary for this position is dependent on experience, qualifications and location.
