    Position Background:


    The Service Technician is integral to Ketek's operations and is essential in assuring client retention through the provision of hands-on customer service.

    The career growth of a Service Technician is dependant upon personal interest, inclinations, and abilities.


    Responsibilities and Duties:
    Establish and promote excellent relationships through clear and accurate communication
    Take instruction from Project manager and/or act to ensure tasks are completed in a safe manner
    Install, troubleshoot, maintain, demobilize Ketek equipment for the benefit of the client
    Use, clean, and maintain the different tools required at the worksite
    When not in the field, will work in the shop and complete duties as required under the direction of a Shop Foreman
    Follow instruction from Dispatch
    Take responsibility for all related site functions
    Perform routine onsite housekeeping duties
    Operate vehicles in a safe manner
    Fill required paperwork
    Successfully complete safety training as required on an ongoing basis
    Observe all safety procedures and use proper Personal Protective Equipment
    Ensure that all of Ketek policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulations are followed
    Be considerate of the needs of our community and the environment
    Perform other related duties as required
    Represent Ketek in a light that is commensurate with the values of Management and the Corporate Mission Statement


    Working Conditions:
    On-Call 24/7
    Field environment (85%) and shop environment (15%)
    Be willing to and able work in remote locations for extended periods of time
    The work is both physically and mentally demanding
    Must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat
    May be exposed to unpleasant sights and smells
    May at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose, and skin from irritation and infection
    Expected to do a reasonable amount of lifting, carrying, climbing, kneeling, and balancing, therefore a certain amount of strength, dexterity, and alertness is required
    Required to work closely with other workers, clients, and/or third-party contractors
    May be required to work at heights and/or in confined spaces
    Pre-access drug and alcohol testing may be required


    Qualifications and Skills:
    Fluent in the English language (reading, written, spoken)
    Minimum 3 years' oilfield and/or construction experience
    Valid Class 5 with Clean Driver's Abstract
    Minimum Class 5 with 3 years of experience
    High School Diploma and/or a Journeyman Trade ticket
    Ability to deal with the public in a positive, courteous, and respectful manner
    Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent demanding deadlines
    Ability to handle changing schedules and priorities, with high-level prioritization skills
    Strong work ethic and organizational planning skills with attention to detail
    Ability to work independently or as part of a team
    Effective verbal and listening communication skills
