Provides expertise and leadership in the management of the Adventures in Engineering and Science program. Plans, manages, and supervises all human, physical, and budgetary resources for its numerous initiatives. Reviews & develops program content and occasionally instructs credited programs.
Ensures that each initiative is on track, meets project objectives, and are aligned with the University's priorities and key messages.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Management of Initiatives:
Develops a plan of yearly initiatives (camps, clubs, PD days, March break camps, events, afterschool programs, etc.) for the Adventures in Engineering and Science program and establishes the financial and resource requirements for each initiative, while designating the associated responsibilities/tasks.
Develops measurable criteria to evaluate the success of each initiative in correspondence with faculty objectives and goals.Oversees the preparation and delivery of each initiative, providing support and advice to officers coordinating each initiative.
Provides resources and tools to team members and monitors the progress of all tasks in order to meet deliverable deadlines.
Updates key stakeholders (financial partners, faculty, etc.) on the progress of each initiative.Collects data and feedback to analyze and evaluate the success of each initiative.
Consolidates all the information into a final annual report that summarizes the collected information and proposes improvements and/or solutions to recurring issues.
Team Management:
Manages and supervises a team of professionals coordinating the various activities of the Adventures in Engineering and Science program.
Provides direction to staff regarding project planning and coordination.Optimizes quality and quantity of deliverables by utilizing the staff's competencies, skills, and preferences to assign appropriate tasks and responsibilities.
Fosters a positive work environment and teamwork. Evaluates their performance, ensures adequate personal and professional development, identifies development needs and recommends appropriate training strategies.What you will bring:
University degree in Engineering, Science or related field
Knowledge of the elementary and secondary school curriculum in Ontario and Quebec
Experience developing/overseeing educational youth programs
Minimum of three years' experience in project management handling complex and large-scale projects
Experience managing human resources and supervising large teams
Experience with information & database management
Experience with marketing and promotional activities
Experience with accounting and budgeting
Ability to take on a multitude of different responsibilities when necessary
Ability to think critically and solve problems efficiently
Ability to multitask and stay organized
