    You are a seasoned technology auditor or consultant with a risk mentality and are comfortable managing people and resources to achieve business outcomes within your space. You have found your niche - IT Audit - and you are seeking your next step into a unique hands-on leadership opportunity.

    About the work environment:

    Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm with flexibility around start & end times.

    About you / qualifications:

  • 10+ years combined technology experience, IT consulting and/or business experience in various IT or audit functions
  • Post secondary education in a relevant field
  • Recognized certifications / expertise such as CISA, CISSP, ISO27001, NIST, ITIL and/or COBIT
  • Strong project management skills and experience with an ability to manage multiple priorities, work in a fast-paced environment and consistently achieve objectives and meet timelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of internal audit processes and risk-based approach and methodologies
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and facilitation skills
  • Proficiency in corporate technology software and offerings
  • About the day-to-day:

  • With the rest of the IA Leadership team, maintain and strengthen the IA function and team
  • Assist in the development of the annual audit plan particularly focused on technology audits
  • Manage and coach a small team of internal auditors within IT Audit team
  • Proactively update and maintain risk assessments for assigned process areas, conduct walkthroughs, assess process design, and perform operating effectiveness testing
  • Evaluate test exceptions / control deficiencies and work closely with the business to identify remediation actions, compensating controls and areas for improvement
  • Participate in discussions with Internal and External Auditors on the adequacy and design of Internal Controls and compensating controls
  • Effectively communicate and influence management on the importance of an effective control environment
  • Monitor and report on the status of remediation activities, and assist in preparation of quarterly status updates
  • Develop rapport and relationships with IT stakeholders at various levels (front line to executive management and board)
  • Develop clear audience-specific recommendations and reports
  • Translate internal controls and processes into business risks and practical mitigation recommendations
  • Discuss observations, improvement opportunities and recommendations with management and obtain collaborative and constructive feedback regarding the proposed adoption and implementation
  • Monitor and report progress to meet deadlines and produce quality evidence-based deliverables which meet applicable professional standards
  • Annual Compensation:

    Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary and discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $150,000 and $170,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities & experience that the chosen candidate possess.
