We are growing rapidly and our Operations team is very excited to bring onboard a very passionate and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist Operations Manager in the full project lifecycle starting from onboarding to project closeout of Residential Solar Net Metering projects.
  • Liaison with Engineering and customer service team for timely resolution of project issues.
  • Timely followups with required internal and external departments to expedite project delays and backlogs.
  • Requisition and Submission of connection and building permit cheques at the required stages of the project.
  • Stay ontop of daily tasks, Prioritize critical workflows, monitor project pipelines to ensure tasks are completed within targeted timelines.
  • Communicate and coordinate with construction team, subcontractors, installers, electricians to facilitate successful completion of projects.
  • Coordinate with PV Engineering team and Structural Engineering team for timely approval of Engineering packages.
  • Identify and report bottlenecks in daytoday operations to Senior Manager.
  • Assist in planning and creation of Construction Schedules.
  • Support in Creation of Change orders when required and ensure it is executed in a timely manner by the customer.
  • Follow up with Electrician / ESA for receipt of ESA safety certificates for every project post inspection.
  • Communicate with Utilities for timely installation of Bi-Directional meter.
  • Ensure Record drawings are approved by Engineers and assist in Building Permit Closeout process.
  • Work as a part of a team to ensure all relevant information is communicated with different parties involved.
  • Attend meetings with project managers, project stakeholders, and field staff to manage project issues and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and company policies.
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Code of Business Conduct.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.

Skills/Experience:


  • Completion of a University Degree or College Diploma in Management, Engineering, or Business.
  • Minimum 1 year of Solar Project Management experience or a demonstrated understanding of the solar industry is required.
  • Prior working experience with regulatory departments such as utilities, municipalities etc. is a great asset.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat software.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license is an asset.
  • Being Detail Oriented is a mandatory requirement for this position.
  • Strong ability to work in a Crossfunctional team environment.
  • Good problemsolving and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Salary:
$45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
