Environment Program Administrator-15-month contract

Are you passionate about promoting sustainable practices in responsible waste management?

As an environment program administrator, you will play an integral part in the oversight and maintenance of Best Buy's environmental initiatives, including those related to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDGR).

We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you'll do:

Provide updates and oversight for government recycling and transportation of dangerous goods programs ensuring stakeholders are prepared for new programs and regulation changes
Actively participates in discussions and meetings with partners, regulators, and government representatives
Collaborate with internal and external contacts to coordinate the compilation of data required for program reporting
Analyzes, identifies trends and provides recommendations about corrections or errors in data prior reporting for provincial producer responsibility programs
Conduct a weekly audit of new Product SKU setup to ensure accuracy and compliance with program requirements
Manage program SKUs, including the setup and maintenance of the relationship tables for each program and region within RM
Lead project teams to complete marketplace seller and brand research, and reporting audits
Promote awareness of and oversees instore recycling programs and processes

What we're looking for:

Postgraduate degree in Environmental studies or equivalent
Familiarity with TDGR and environment regulations
Understanding of extended and individual producer regulations
Data administration experience, preferably in logistics or retail
Experience in MS Excel, Project, SharePoint or other project Management tools
