Adi Development Group is looking for an experienced

Assistant Site Superintendent to join our growing

Construction team.


The Assistant Site Superintendent will be leading, managing and coordinating the efforts of construction team members and third-party suppliers, sub contractors and consultants.

You will get insight into the intricate operations and execution of high profile real estate development projects in one of the most innovative and fastest growing companies in the industry.

You will be responsible for managing, monitoring and shaping award winning communities from initiation to completion.

What You'll Be Doing:


  • You will assist the Site Superintendent with the following:
  • Supervising the construction project and all the operations on the site
  • Ensuring that the quality of work and materials is upheld
  • Upholding Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards
  • Monitoring all subcontractors and labourers and the progress of the project and report as required
  • Tracking/logging daily manpower on site
  • Ensuring that the health and safety project plans are implemented and followed
  • Ensuring that the budget is followed; work with the Project Manager in managing all Division 1 costs
  • Creating, Monitoring, and updating project schedules and ensuring the schedule and look ahead schedules are followed and provide updates to the Project Manager/Senior Management as required
  • Organizing and Supervising site staff, trades and contractors and ensuring that they are performing as required
  • General inspection of the trades and contractors and their performance and safety
  • Liaise with government inspectors on the standard requirements of the site
  • Writing project progress records and logs
  • Maintaining a project diary
  • Ensuring that all MOL requirements are met on site
  • Ensuring the site office is organized and kept to the highest possible standards
  • Ensuring construction documents are organized and maintained
  • Ordering Concrete & Rebar
  • Tracking and monitoring all equipment and tools rentals use on site
  • Present and meet with the management and executive team as necessary

What You Bring:


  • 5+ years experience in construction as an Assistant Site Superintendent
  • Have a postsecondary education in Business, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
  • Have all necessary certifications like Working at Heights, WHIMIS, First Aid and Basics of Supervision
  • Possess thorough knowledge in designing and building large scale multifamily construction projects
  • Able to read construction working drawings including and not limited to architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and landscape drawings
  • Have a thorough understanding of both highrise and lowrise residential and commercial projects
  • Must have strong budgeting and scheduling skills and aptitude with scheduling software and project management software is a must
  • Are a strong negotiator and are able to remain calm under stress
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Are a team player and possess leadership skills
  • Are concise and detailed oriented and can manage your own time
  • Must possess organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks within a demanding fast paced environment
  • Have strong customer focus, emotional intelligence and ability to manage through change
  • Have strong problemsolving skills
  • A valid G driver's license, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel to various office locations

Nice to Have Experience/Skills:


  • Experience working in a Lean Management environment
  • Have taken courses or certifications in project management or have PMP designation
