(Acuren) is currently hiring certified IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technicians for permanent assignments across Acuren and client sites in Ontario and Quebec.

Certified IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technicians Job Description Acuren Group Inc. (Acuren) is currently hiring 3 IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technicians for permanent assignments in the Central Region. Travel may be required in these positions. The start date is immediate.

These roles are full time (averaging 160 hours per month), with an hourly wage rate starting at $45.00 to $55.00 CDN, straight time.

Overtime of 1.5X is payable as per relevant provincial employment standards. Additional premiums are payable for evening or night shift, and where additional relevant technical qualifications are present. Vacation/Holiday is paid at a rate of 6%.

The IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician is responsible for safety management, work site organization and planning, and the supervision of others performing a variety of work while suspended from ropes.


Location


Primary Office: 396 McGregor Side Rd #1, Sarnia, ON N7T 7H6 Work locations will be across Acuren and client sites in Ontario and Quebec.


Responsibilities:


An IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician utilizes specialized knowledge of Rope Access Technology to manage the safety of crews engaged in rope access activities, to organize work functions specific to rope access jobs and to supervise crews engaged in performing a broad range of technical and/or industrial services at heights.

The role ensures individual and organizational compliance with IRATA standards and regulations to ensure the safe and effective performance of work.

Depending on the assigned work, the Rope Access Technician may be required to join a union for the duration of the project (Acuren will cover all relevant dues).


Education and Skills Requirements:


  • IRATA Level 3 Certification required
  • A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience as an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician working within a variety of industrial environments.
  • Current First aid certification
  • A valid drivers' license is preferred
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse team
  • Ability to work productively in a variety of adverse conditions
  • Physical and psychological ftness, with the ability to successfully submit to drug and alcohol testing on a random schedule
  • Ability to comply with Acuren and/or clientrequired pandemic policies prior to employment and continued compliance with adaptive Acuren and/ or client pandemic policies.

Language of Work
Fluent English skills (written and spoken) are a prerequisite.

Emergency medical coverage will be provided if required until the 90 days period is met or a provincial health card is obtained.
