Position Overview


The Manager of Sales Development is responsible for leading and directly managing the North American Sales Development team for our mission driven brands in the Washington DC office.

This is the perfect role for an ambitious Manager who is excited by the prospect of providing hands leadership and guidance, while driving ambitious targets in the North American market.


The Sales Development team is tasked with prospecting and setting up qualified appointments for the North American sales team to pursue and ultimately sign new clients.

This is a great role for a passionate Manager looking for the autonomy to help grow the business with a solution-oriented and analytical approach.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 8 Sales Development Representatives and driving the team to achieve and exceed core KPIs and goals.
  • Conduct consistent 11's, team meetings, provide coaching/feedback, and sales enablement sessions to help continually develop the SDR for career growth
  • Manage both marketing driven and outbound strategy and processes
  • Partner with stakeholders in marketing & sales to provide an effective feedback loop on lead quality, volume, and demo quality, to ultimately build pipeline to achieve revenue goals.
  • Be able to analyze results from marketing campaigns and deliver impactful feedback to marketing
  • Monitor all sales leads and opportunities between Diligent brands
  • Maintain all Salesforce reports to ensure leads are being followed up on in a timely manner and conversion rates are at an appropriate level.
  • Play an active role in the recruitment and onboarding of new Sales Development Representatives.
  • Be a passionate thought leader in sales development and the governance space

Required Experience/Skills:


  • 12 years+ experience in Sales and Sales Development management with proven success in managing teams across different offices/brands a plus.
  • A demonstrated understanding of sales processes and building outbound Sales Development models.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate unique proposition of the product and obtain product knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior level executives.
  • Excellent presentation skills both verbally and written.
  • High energy with a positive attitude.
  • Has achieved results in a competitive and metrics driven environment.
