    About the role
    Join the Enterprise Data Office, in the Specialist, Information and Records Management position. In this role, you will support the implementation and maintenance of enhanced records management practices and improved outcomes in information storage and disposition. You will also help the organization realize the full value of its unstructured information assets and evolve the information management operating model to address the effective and efficient sharing of information across CMHC.

    What you'll do:

    • Leads the enhancement of records management practices and maximization of information management tools to improve lifecycle management of physical and electronic records (storage, security, transformation and disposition practices).
    • Supports and coordinate records management activities between IT, partners, IM service providers, internal clients and a network of Information Stewards.
    • Leads activities to ensure that EDRMS (SharePoint) are properly governed.
    • Leads activities to ensure that records management modules and tools are properly configured and maintained.
    • Conducts analysis on critical issues and develops briefings to support decision making on a broad range of records and information management issues (i.e., client concerns, service gaps, opportunities for improvement, communications, training, and technology implementation plans).
    • Develops performance measurement indicators, measures progress and reports as appropriate on IM/RM activities and proper usage of technologies.
    • Provides expert IM/RM advice to business clients and partners relating to CMHC information/records.


    What you should have:

    • An Undergraduate degree in information/records management, library science or computer technology
    • A minimum of five years of experience in information and records management, specifically with the integration and administration of IM/RM tools and technologies (e.g. SharePoint, Records 365).
    • A knowledge of and an experience working within IM/RM regulations and compliance requirements.
    • An advanced knowledge of user experience in Information Management tools including: site provisioning; creation, maintenance and application of templates and metadata; etc.
    • An advanced knowledge in Information Lifecycle Management.

    It would be great if you also had:

    • A certification or designation in any of the following would be an asset: Records and Information Management, Information Specialist, Information Governance Professional, Enterprise Content Management (ECM); Enterprise Records Management (ERM), SharePoint Administration / Architecture, Business Analysis.
    • An advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, MS Teams, Power Platform.
    • Ability to provide guidance to, and oversight of third-party service providers.
