    Whitewater's Composites Manufacturing and Engineering (CME) team is looking for a candidate to join our team in Richmond, BC in the following role:

    Position: Production Coordinator (Composite Manufacturing Engineering)
    Department: Composites Manufacturing and Engineering (CME)

    Location: Richmond, BC, Canada
    Reports to: Manager, Composite Manufacturing Systems

    Purpose:

    Reporting directly to the Manager, Composite Manufacturing Systems, this position is responsible for coordinating fiberglass manufacturing details in response to sold projects and research and development project schedules. This position is also responsible for maintaining and analysing data management systems related to mould and part production. This position requires an energetic, self-starter with an eye for details.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Update and maintain the Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) product database used for project part production.
    • Check for completeness, scope and accuracy of all released FRP project Bill of Materials (BOM).
    • Process released BOMs for projects for all suppliers to ensure supplier data is complete and accurate.
    • Determine new mould needs based on manufacturing BOMs.
    • Determine part, mould and colour availability for supply chain.
    • Create and maintain master mould manufacturing schedule in alignment with project requirements.
    • Lead and assign production tasks to the team as required by the master schedule.
    • Prepare information required for mould purchasing, which includes updating and maintaining all related supporting documentation.
    • Liaise with manufacturing partners and WWI internal project stakeholders to support FRP fabrication.
    • Document processes and procedures for the CME Department.
    • Create and publish metrics for the CME Department.
    • Participate in continuous improvement projects.
    • Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Post Secondary degree with Manufacturing and/or Project Management experience.
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint), Scheduling tools (such as MS Project), MS Visio, PowerBi, SharePoint.
    • Experience with Manufacturing BOMs.
    • Experience with Database management and ERP system is preferred.
    • CAPM or PMP certification is an asset.
