About the role:


We're looking for a driven
Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our growing team dedicated to building the future of homecare.

This role is responsible for assisting the finance team with the accounts payable function.

A successful Accounts Payable Coordinator will prepare, code and manage invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile card statements, and process payments.

Excellent communication, written and verbal are a must, as well as building relationships with vendors and other departments.


In this role you will:


  • Prepare expense reports for employees
  • Review and prepare credit card reconciliation
  • Prepare and manage all invoices daily and send invoices for approval
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial data
  • Code invoices with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.
  • Manage and verify all expense reports, ensuring their compliance with company policies
  • Prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions
  • Receive, research, and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons
  • Evaluate all account payable balance and resolve all unpaid invoices issues
  • Evaluate and reconcile all vendor statements and manage all inquiries
  • Processes due invoices for payments
  • Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
  • Assist in the month end close process
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Collaborate with the AP Specialist and other members of the finance team

What we're looking for:


  • Postsecondary education in accounting, finance, business administration, or a relevant field
  • 2+ years of experience in a financial position
  • Direct experience in Accounts Payable
  • Strong analytical skills and detail orientated
  • Sound proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Capacity to take a lot of diverse responsibility and work in a challenging fastpaced environment
  • Experience with FMS software (ideally NetSuite but we will train)
  • Bilingualism is an asset (French and English), written and spoken
  • Collaborates well working with small teams
