Job Summary:
The Chemical Manufacturing Technician will run all manufacturing processes in compliance with all associated quality systems. Maintains processes in their validated or compliant state.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in a safe manner wearing necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is supplied for you.
- Adherence to Workplace Health and Safety Policy and Safe Handling of chemicals.
- Follow Daily Work order or any other requests of the Production Supervisor.
- Ensure smooth and efficient production of all products.
- Report production problems to the Production Supervisor. In his absence, advise the Managing Director.
- Fully record details of production activities in batch records, complete inventory cards and other production documents.
- Ensure that equipment and work area is cleaned after production.
- Advise Production Supervisor if you notice a shortage of any raw materials.
- Maintain open communication with ALL employees at Dextran Products.
- Reads and follows written batch records, recording data, records appropriate steps on batch records and associated documents.
- Operates forklifts to move product as needed
- Cleans reactors filters and other process related equipment, process rooms, general cleaning
- Understand and complies with quality regulations as they relate to job responsibilities
- Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management
Qualifications:
- High School diploma.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations using a calculator.
- Ability to accurately read and take measurements including reading a tape measure.
- Ability to read and interpret/follow production procedures.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Physical Requirements:
- Movement
- Standing and walking 67% to 90% percent of the day. Minimal sitting up to 33% of the day.
- Lifting & Moving
- Minimal lifting and moving, pushing and pulling up to 10% of the day. Lifting up to 10 KGS and moving pumps occasionally, some of them being on wheels. Pushing and pulling a pump truck with loads up to 90 KGS.
- Other Movements
- Minimal bending and reaching required throughout shift, up to 10%.
- Speaking, Hearing & Visual
- Must be able to speak clearly and present well to others. Hearing is required consistently throughout shift. Must be able to see, near distant and peripheral objects.
- Environmental
- Seasonal exposure outside, extreme heat exposure 67% to 90% of the day during summer. Exposure to exterior noise as well as internal machinery noise.
- Cognitive
- Must learn new policies, procedures, retain and perform tasks assigned. Must maintain focus, be alert and aware at all times.
Work Hours:
- Non-Exempt Position; Shift Rotating Monday to Friday: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, 10:30 pm to 7:00 am; Occasional offshift work.
- Minimum of 4045 Hours Week, or other agreed upon documented schedule.
- Ability and willingness to work from all BioSpectra facilities.
Pay:
- Starting at a minimum of $24.00 per hour
