As a Team Lead, you will manage a group of Administrators, for a company in the Trucking/Logistics sector.

ABOUT THE ROLE:


The Team Lead, Administration is responsible for directing daily and weekly workloads across the Administration Processing departments to achieve departmental and facility objectives.

This role is charged with the goal to effectively and efficiently manage the development and directions of the Administration Processing team to drive the growth of revenue, technical productivity, and promote high quality customer satisfaction.

Reporting into the Manager, Administration, your responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Create and communicate daily team objectives
  • Lead daily Administration Processing team call
  • Attend daily Team Lead call
  • Review shared mailrooms throughout the day to ensure daily goals are being achieved
  • Review of daily reports for missing rates
  • Review of daily reports for missing fuel surcharge
  • Review of daily reports for missing shed pick up information
  • Compiling and reviewing report for wait time charge for store deliveries
  • Communicating with management at end of each day to advise if daily goals were not achieved
  • Reassignment of resources to ensure daily goals are achieved
  • Training
- planning new employee training as well as cross training in shared mailrooms of current employees

  • Review of sentinels in shared mailrooms for accuracy and communicating required changes to IT
  • Covering shared mailrooms in the event of sickness and vacation
  • Identifying process gaps and communicating with management to rectify
  • Respond to team questions regarding daily work issues

WHAT YOU BRING:


  • 23 years' experience working in an FTL & LTL transportation environment, or Customer Service and Logistics/ Supply Chain industry
  • 23 years' experience in a Team Lead role, in Supervisory capacity
  • Proven leadership abilities, ability to direct, mentor, and lead a team in achieving goals
  • Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Tech Savvy, ability to grasp new software; experience with TruckMate is an asset
  • Ability to type at least 50 WPM
  • Excellent customer service abilities with a natural desire to provide exceptional service and build strong team relationships
  • Proven ability to work in a fastpaced, deadline driven environment, with ability to adapt to changing needs
  • Detail oriented, with high level of accuracy
  • Proven analytical and problemsolving skills; ability to understand and identify issues and propose solutions in a timely fashion
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement and ability to identify opportunities to increase efficiencies, workflow, and harmony amongst team
  • Approachable, positive demeanor with a handson and teamoriented work style
  • Takes initiative, possesses a cando attitude, with emphasis on being results oriented
  • High school diploma required, and additional postsecondary education a plus
