- Reporting to the Chief Power Engineer, this position is responsible for assistance in monitoring and operation of plant boilers including all ancillary equipment. Includes but is not limited to:Collecting and sending water samplesAssisting in troubleshooting during process upsetsAssisting with monitoring and data collection responsibilitiesPerforming minor pipingCleaning and upkeep of the departmentAssisting other departments in troubleshooting and upkeep
- Continuously ensuring that support is given in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with government regulations and Company standards. Experience
- The ideal candidate will possess a full 4th Class Power Engineering Ticket (must have atleast one of two 4th Class exams successfully passed and completed prior to starting with LDC)
- Excellent written, documentation and verbal communications skills, as well as a willingness to work a rotating shift schedule are required.
- Work in an organized, safe, and clean manner, ensuring work area is kept clean and free from all safety hazards
- Ensures compliance with Company safety rules and wears proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) as required in fulfillment of assigned responsibilities
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders as well as work at heights; manage confined space entry, withstand extended periods of walking and standing; move manufacturing materials, products and equipment of 50 pounds or more which requires regular bending and lifting
- Mechanical aptitude, effective oral and written communication skills, basic math and fundamental PC skills
- Must be well organized, self-motivated and action oriented and able to work effectively in a team environment
- Regular exposure to a variety of temperatures and prevailing weather conditions; regular exposure to gases, vapors, dust, odors and flammable liquids; occasional exposure to areas with wet floors and high volume of noise. Heavy lifting of materials and products may be required.
- Regular stair climbing and extended periods of walking and standing in order to access and occasionally work in remote areas of the plant, heights and confined spaces.
- Personal Protective Equipment will be worn in compliance with Company standards and government regulations. Additional Information
