    Description

    is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join a Hospitality Group in Toronto / Canada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately recording all financial transactions of the company, maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software.

    Responsibilities:

    • Record day-to-day financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Quick Books online accounting software.
    • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
    • Prepare and send invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments.
    • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
    • Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
    • Monitor and track expenses, ensuring they are within budgetary limits.
    • Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Generate financial reports for management as required.
    • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
    • Stay updated on accounting principles and regulations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards.

    Job Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
    • Restaurant / Hospitality Experience
    • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
    • Proficiency in accounting software - QuickBooks.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) would be a plus.

    This role typically operates in an office environment.
    Regular working hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime during peak periods. May require occasional interaction with clients or vendors.

    Salary range may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
