Working closely with the Senior Manager, Human Resources, the Specialist will create and provide ongoing support for workplace programs, practices and initiatives that support Babcock Canada's commitment to an equitable and inclusive working environment.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in chairing the EDI Committee to plan, communicate and implement initiatives and programs supporting the Committee's strategy.
- Support business growth opportunities by providing metrics and activities relating to equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Be responsible for coordinating and executing the Human Resources Plan for Babcock Canada's Indigenous Peoples Framework.
- Coordinate and track EDI training initiatives for employees such as Indigenous Awareness Training.
- Measure the effectiveness of diversity initiatives through the collection, analysis and compilation of metrics and provide meaningful recommendations.
- Gather benchmark data and research EDI best practices internally and externally, to monitor and report on diversity and inclusion topics for continuous improvement.
- Lead federal regulatory equity reporting, targetsetting, and measurement.
- Support pay equity programs by tracking and analyzing metrics to produce reporting that will assist with decision making and meet legislative reporting requirements.
- Engage key stakeholders to execute talent strategies and communications strategies related to equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Coordinate and execute Babcock Canada's Indigenous Workforce Development Program.
- This role will be a key point of contact in supporting and partnering on key initiatives to advance inclusion across Babcock Canada.
- Support EDI global initiatives and the implementation in Canada with a focus on education and awareness.
- Conduct industry research using online tools and publications; identify opportunities and make recommendations to inform the development of D&I programs
- Partner and collaborate with internal teams (i.e., HR, Internal Communications, Talent Acquisition, Corporate Citizenship, Inclusion Advisory Council) to promote, champion and highlight D&I initiatives
- Perform other related duties as assigned
