Purpose:


The Administrative Coordinator role reports to the Associate Director, in the Schulich School of Business, and facilitates the smooth and efficient operation of the Professional Development & Experiential Education (PD&EE) Office.

The role provides administrative support, database and website support, and course support.

The Administrative Coordinator role is the main information resource for the office and addresses inquiries on professional development and experiential education programs, courses, and opportunities.


Education:


College Diploma in a business-related field or an equivalent of 2 years recent experience (defined as within the last three years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks.

This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.


Experience:


Skills:

Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Proficient functionality with WordPress, CRM platforms, Learning Management Systems, and Student Information Systems.
Well-developed customer service focused skills.

Excellent planning, organization and prioritization skills to cope with conflicting deadlines, multiple tasks, and events with short and overlapping time periods.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Solid written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent oral communication skills to elicit information and answer inquiries.
Strong interpersonal skills to deal courteously and effectively with people.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team and independently.


Other:
Displays a genuine desire to understand and meet the needs of clients. Proven success in building relationships, rapport, and trust at all levels within a complex environment.
Good judgment and strict confidentiality. Ability to maintain confidential statistical, proprietary corporate information and other sensitive information.
Demonstrates initiative and flexibility.
