Description

Duties:


  • Operate sewing machines to upholster furniture pieces
  • Cut fabric and leather to appropriate sizes and shapes
  • Measure and mark fabric using calipers and other measuring tools
  • Assemble and attach upholstery materials to furniture frames
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes

Skills:


  • Proficiency in operating sewing machines and other upholstery tools
  • Knowledge of garment construction techniques
  • Ability to measure and mark fabric accurately using calipers and other measuring tools
  • Familiarity with machining and millwork processes
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to assemble and build furniture pieces according to specifications
  • Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in a warehouse environment

Note:

Prior experience as an upholsterer or in a related field is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.


Salary:
$18.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • North York, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- upholstery: 1 year (required)
