Primary Responsibilities
Component remanufacturing of transmissions, torque convertors, axles, transfer cases and industrial gearboxes
Removal and reinstallation of drivetrain components
Failure analysis reporting
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
Follow work procedures as per ISO 9001:2015 guidelines
Qualifications
Apprentice and/or previously related mechanical experience is considered an asset
Previous commercial vehicle inspection experience, transmissions and/or differential rebuilding of truck components, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills would be considered an asset
Ability to read and understand rebuild procedures as well as interpret technical repair manuals
Ability to multi-task
Strong attention to detail
Willingness to learn
Ability to work independently or in a team environment

The Gear Centre, Truck and Automotive Division focuses on diagnosing, removal, and installing of automatic/manual transmissions, differentials, axle components, and hydraulic wet kit systems found in various automotive and heavy truck applications.

Apprenticeship Rate is $25.00 to $36.00 per hour / depending on level of apprenticeship and previous related mechanical experience
