Our client is growing and looking for a talented operations and project leader who will oversee the reliability of their network and help them establish itself as a leader in the fast-growing electric vehicle charging market.


Reporting to the General Manager, this role will support the company's ongoing operations, and assist with the construction of new projects that are critical to their overall success while also actively engaging with various external customers and partners.


This is an exciting opportunity to become a key team member of a high-growth company focused on becoming a leader in electric vehicle charging.

As their network and brand grows, this role has the potential to expand in scope with the need for team leadership and day-to-day management of a larger team.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily oversight and operations of infield assets and develop optimal processes for ensuring high levels of reliability and overall performance;
  • Serve as key point of contact with senior management at external service providers related to ongoing maintenance issues and parts requests;
  • Ensure corrective and/or preventative maintenance can occur in a timely manner;
  • Develop operational data insights and optimize operational processes to establish standardization and efficiency;
  • Effectively manage direct report(s) on the Operations team to ensure daytoday tasks are completed in a timely manner to help meets operational KPI's;
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial arrangements with various external partners to achieve economies of scale and help drive growth;
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding contractors supporting their rural service program;
  • Manage procurement and logistics of spare parts;
  • Consistently analyze cost effectiveness of maintenance programs and strive for continuous improvement (timeliness and cost);
  • Make recommendations based on financial and operational analyses of opportunities for costsavings or growth;
  • Create and manage the annual budget for operations, and provide recommendations related to longterm strategic planning;
  • Serve as key point of contact for managing relationships with key external partners & vendors;
  • Engage with crossfunctional team members to develop or refine necessary operational tools to maintain high levels of performance across our network;
  • Work collaboratively with the General Manager and the entire team to grow the brand;
  • Assist with special initiatives, as required;
  • Understand the latest industry & technology trends.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree; engineering degree preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of operations management experience managing complex products / services; operations experience in the electric vehicle charging industry considered an asset;
  • Experience managing multiple projects and vendors simultaneously;
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail;
  • Strong ability to identify business growth opportunities and lead execution;
  • Experience negotiating service agreements and contracts;
  • Commercial analysis experience with the ability to identify and mitigate risks;
  • Demonstrated experience with customer analytics and data tools, including CRM;
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while effectively adapting to multiple changing priorities;
  • Highly effective team player able to work collaboratively with leads from other business functions (Legal, Marketing, Customer Service)
