    The Instrumentation Service Technician is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and calibration of a wide range of measurement equipment. This includes performing functional tests, executing preventive and corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting issues quickly to ensure optimal instrument performance. The technician must also document each intervention, follow applicable safety standards, and collaborate with technical teams to support continuous improvement. Finally, the technician provides 24/7 technical assistance and actively participates in initiatives aimed at optimizing systems and maintenance practices.

    What you bring to the table

    • Verify the compliance of instrumentation installations and ensure equipment operates according to technical specifications and safety standards.
    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and accuracy.
    • Carry out calibration and functional tests according to established procedures and industry standards.
    • Diagnose issues quickly, propose solutions, and return systems to service efficiently.
    • Document all interventions and keep technical records up to date.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to optimize processes and resolve complex problems.
    • Strictly apply health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
    • Participate in training, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

    Essential skills and qualifications to be successful

    • College diploma (DEC) in Electrical Engineering Technology or Industrial Electronics
    • Electrical Certification (non-construction) is an asset
    • Good dexterity; enjoys hands‑on work
    • Eagerness to learn; comfortable with new technologies
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in French
    • Written and verbal communication skills in English considered an asset

    Work location: Kirkland, Qc - Travelling required.
