Description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:Manages the integrity of inventory audits, cycle counts and transactions, ensuring that the DC inventory is accurate and established procedures are maintained.

Works directly with DC Senior Leadership, DC Operations, 3PLs, Supervisors and Inventory Analysts to correct and enhance processes, train employees, and develop new procedures as needed, to maintain inventory integrity while meeting compliance requirements.


  • Key Responsibilities:Create, monitor and support daily inventory integrity tools for both internal/external customers at both an operational, tactical and strategic level.
  • Drive Process Improvement initiatives that support Performance Metrics, KPIs and the integrity of inventory.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with Distribution Leadership Team to enhance the efficiency and flow of inventory through the Distribution Center, including all projects and DC initiatives.
  • Manage all daily operational aspects of Inventory Control, including the DC floor, to ensure that daily business goals and projects are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Develop and implement key initiatives and manage action plans related to Inventory Control procedures required to maintain inventory KPIs and provide regular updates to DC Leadership team.
  • Ensure inventory balance between the WMS and SAP inventory through routine monitoring, communications, and procedural awareness.
  • Maintain and update current documented procedures for each step of the inventory control process to include type of equipment, tools and skills required to execute all inventory type transactions.
  • Manage the collection, reporting and feedback regarding inventory transactions including, but not limited to, SAP, MS Excel, SQL querying techniques, Power BI, data analysis and WMS interfaces.
  • Monitor and communicate all OHSAsafety standards including all reporting of accidents, injuries, damages, and potential threats to safety.
  • Ensure the company's interest in all aspects of inventory as contracted with 3PL providers.
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget and cost per unit for Inventory Control.
  • Responsible for Inventory Control standard operating procedures and the training of set policies and procedures for the 3PL.
  • Assist in inventory allocation planning strategies across multiple sites.

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Indepth knowledge of endtoend Distribution processes with an Inventory Control emphasis.
  • Ability to manage a diverse team covering multiple functional areas and reporting lines.
  • Manage an area of approximately +1,200,000 square feet overseeing a staff of approximately 30+ internal/external, +25 million units, and +200,000 SKUs of inventory valued at +$500M.
  • Analytical and logical thinking skills with excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with all levels of business.
  • Strong Root Cause Analysis skills and methodology
  • Comprehensive understanding of Warehouse Management Systems and interfaces, including Supply Chain IT systems (Manhattan preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a large volume distribution center environment with a high level of units and skus, in a complex high speed operation.
  • SAP knowledge/experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and planning ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • The role requires extensive walking and standing on hard surfaces for sustained periods of time.
  • Limited travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:
College degree preferred and working experience of 5 years in a related industry. Minimum of equivalent education and related industry experience.
