The Aerostructure Market of Héroux-Devtek focuses on a complete line of precision machined structural components and assemblies, from simple aluminum parts to large monolithic five-axis complex components.

Summary of position:

The CNC technician operates as part of a vital team forming product line value streams.

Their primary function is to safely operate CNC equipment, produce high quality aerospace products and deliver to internal customers on time.

In our lean and flexible facility all employees will be engaged in facets other than their primary function with opportunities to get involved with continuous improvement projects and have a say in the organization development of your team.

Main responsibilities:

Adhere to safe operating practices and procedures.
Follow written instructions in setup documents.
Load correct NC program onto CNC machine.
Identify and collect correct fixtures and tooling on CNC machine as per setup sheets.
Prepare and load materials and parts onto CNC machine.
Accurately measure basic dimensions on machined parts.
Deburr parts and other manual operations.
Check and maintain CNC machinery daily
Provide suggestions for continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

Postsecondary education in a technical field an asset.
Gr. 12/high school completion or equivalent.
Basic abilities in CNC machining and techniques.
Able to work from oral and written instructions.
Ability to read and understand basic manufacturing drawings.
Strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye
