Job Purpose:
To support Quality Control initiatives at Dana Canada, Cambridge, for the afternoon shift, in our automotive manufacturing facility.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the QC Technician supports the
Afternoon Shift quality control by:
- Working with QC technicians, Roving Inspectors and Quality Engineers to ensure conformity to customer specifications in all parts production
- Operate CMM to take measurements on inprocess and PPAP parts
- Participate in annual TS audits; conduct internal audits and assist with internal policies and controls
- Perform various testing on parts at intervals defined by the customer (burst, cleanliness) using quality lab equipment
- Troubleshoot quality nonconformances
- Assist with resolution of quality nonconformances, inspections and 8D reports
Qualifications
Successful completion of a Quality Assurance Program from a recognized college / university and/or receipt of a CQT designation
Good communication skills to work with a cross-functional team, including quality, production and engineering
Intermediate computer skills; especially Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Office, Outlook and Minitab.
Good CMM skills; programming experience is an asset.
Intermediate to advanced GD&T knowledge and experience.
Experience with PPAP, MSA and FMEA an asset.
Demonstrated troubleshooting, critical thinking and analytical skills
