    Role Summary


    We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivatedSenior Network Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Tier 2 Network Analyst atSimnet, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation andmaintenance of our network infrastructure. You will be responsible for managingcomplex network environments, troubleshooting advanced network issues, andimplementing robust network solutions that meet our clients' needs.     Salary Range: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 CAD

    In this role, you will be responsible for:

    • Monitor network performance and availability, ensuring uptime and performance levels meet or exceed SLAs.
    • Troubleshoot network issues and provide solutions to network-related problems.
    • Configure and maintain network devices, switches, and firewalls.
    • Maintain network firewall security policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
    • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and provide support for network-related issues.
    • Document network configurations and changes to ensure accuracy and maintain an-to-date inventory of network devices.
    • Participate in the design and implementation of network solutions, including network design, VLAN management, routing and switching, wireless networking, load balancing, and VPN configurations.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve network performance, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Stay up to date with new and developing networking tools and technologies.
    • Other tasks and duties as required.

    Requirements


    To be successful in this role, you'll need:

    • Bachelor's degree/diploma in computer science or related field
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in network operations and maintenance or similar role
    • Strong technical skills in next-gen firewall configuration, network design, VLAN management, routing and switching, wireless networking, load balancing, VPN configuration, and security compliance
    • Strong knowledge of access control models and network security
    • Experience working in virtualized environments such as CloudStack, KVM, VMWare
    • Experience with Data Centre migration & platform migrations and/or other large-scale projects
    • Proficiency in SD-WAN technologies and solutions
    • In-depth understanding of communication protocols and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc).
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
    • Strong soft skills and ability to work well in a team environment
    • Proven ability to delegate tasks to junior team members
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

    Experience that may accelerate impact (nice-to-haves):

    • Fortinet NSE/FCP certification is considered a strong asset
    • Demonstrated experience in delegating tasks and managing team workloads effectively.
    • Understanding and experience with VXLAN is an asset
