    We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals to serve as part of our summer staff team for 2024. In this role, you will share the responsibility for ensuring the safety and well-being of participants while providing fun and engaging activities throughout the summer. You will work closely with other team members under the guidance of our 2 Co-Directors to create a positive and inclusive environment for everyone involved.

    The ideal candidate will be part of a team and have a focus to create a positive and engaging summer experience for children and maintain a healthy work environment for fellow summer staff. You should have a passion for working with children, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication and leadership skills.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • Must Be Between 15-30 Years Old.
    • Canadian Resident (International Students Cannot Be Hired)
    • Willingness To Abide By Spring Garden Church Values And Code Of Conduct
    • Willingness To Work Sunday Mornings
    • Have Experience Working With Children In Camps Or Places Of Equal Caliber
    • Can Express Personal Creativity (Not Exclusive To Art)
    • Strong Communication, Organizational, And Interpersonal Skills While Working On A Team
    • Ability To Work Collaboratively And Lead A Team To Achieve Shared Goals

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Implement summer programs and activities that promote personal growth and learning for
    • Plan for and supervise participants during activities, ensuring that they are provided a safe and enjoyable experience.
    • Follow the instruction and guidance of our co-directors who will manage our team and summer programming.
    • Know and ensure that all camp activities are conducted in accordance with our safety policies.
    • Build positive/healthy relationships with participants, staff, parents, and community partners to ensure a successful summer.

    Preferred Skills

    • CPR/first aid certification and other relevant training is a plus.
