    Overview

    We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join the Stober Group team as an Investment and Treasury Analyst. Reporting to the CFO, this position is responsible for supporting Stober Group's Finance and Development Teams in the assessment of new projects and management of existing projects/developments. The Investment and Treasury Analyst will be responsible for cash flow projections, treasury management, financial analysis, conducting market research for development opportunities, and providing ongoing financial monitoring of existing projects.

    Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000 depending on experience/qualifications.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Modelling

    • Assist with the creation and assessment of the financial front-end analysis of a project prior to acquisition, redevelopment or repositioning;
    • Work to understand market restrictions (land, zoning, etc.) and opportunities to accurately perform financial analysis;
    • Perform complex financial analyses on development land and income producing properties, evaluate projects based on different performance metrics, and report on insights to provide leadership with financial projections and valuations;
    • Gather financial data and conduct research to develop financial models and forecast future capital needs for acquisition opportunities;
    • Liaise with departments across the organization to keep project budgets, pro- formas and financial models up to date;
    • Stay informed on construction and real estate market research, capitalization rates and trends;
    • Support the executive team in areas outside of financial analysis, such as due diligence process, market research, and business development;
    • Assist with quarterly portfolio valuation.

    Treasury and Debt Management

    • Preparation of cash flow forecasts;
    • Updating the company 3-year financial model;
    • Assist with construction financing, take-out financing (CMHC and conventional), financing of property acquisitions;
    • Assist CFO with debt renewals and/or effective debt restructuring options analysis Analyze financial structures and prepare institutional quality internal and external presentations;
    • Audiences include Stober executives, banks, financial institutions, and Board of Directors as required;
    • Understand and monitor status of existing properties to support refinancing efforts;
    • Track financial bond markets, debt markets (CORRA / SOFR) and project financing costs;
    • Develop and update project updates and investor reports for the team to be used in partnering discussions and presentations;
    • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and industry peers.

    Requirements

    • Post-secondary education in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or Business;
    • CFA, or other financial designation preferred;
    • 3-4+ years of experience in related roles focused on real estate investment. Experience in creating and working with complex financial models or equivalent education;
    • Proven track record of superior analytical, research, and presentation skills; Advanced knowledge of deal pro-forma, structure, and processes;
    • Strong Excel skills demonstrated through experience creating complex proformas and financial models for development projects and income producing proper- ties;
    • Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate intently, building strong relation- ships across the organization and with external partners;
    • Highly organized, with a strong ability to anticipate needs and deliver on commitments;
    • Demonstrated experience in the ability to meet tight deadlines while managing stakeholder deliverables;
    • Trustworthy: You lead with trust when interacting with your team and other de- partments. You proactively build trust by demonstrating credibility, empathy, and sincerity;
    • Humble: Unpretentious and self-aware, you take responsibility for your mistakes. You know that egos are barriers to doing our best work and always learning. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy to ensure a high quality of work.
