Description

WHO WE ARE
CFMWS. A job with purpose.

Our 4000+ person strong organization champions a healthy, fun, creative and active lifestyle for Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans and their families.

Help us deliver a variety of recreation and fitness programs, offer family support, organize charity events and make sure our members access retail, travel and banking discounts and customized financial services.

At Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS), we love what we do. And we live it too.

THE ROLE Coordinator**:

As a Fitness, Sports and Recreation Coordinator, you are part of an enthusiastic team of adventurous individuals who enjoy travel, meaningful employment, and contributing in a team-based static or ship-based environment.

Excited by the opportunity to deploy as a civilian among our CAF personnel abroad, you are a team player with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude in a fast-paced setting.

You are able to adapt to new challenges in an ever-changing dynamic environment, where an unconventional workweek is commonplace.

Supervisor:

The Supervisor oversees the fitness, sports, and recreation department.

They support and lead a team of Coordinators towards developing and delivering exceptional programs and services for the CAF and their partner nations.

They are responsible for managing the staff and program schedules, performance management, and overall management of the fitness, sports, and recreation department.

Working in a team setting, you will be contributing at the forefront of supporting Canada's military abroad. Most importantly, you will be coordinating Fitness, Sports and Recreation for Canadian, and in some cases, partner nations.

You will conduct personal and group fitness and sports training as well as delivering briefings and guidance on sports and recreation policies, directives and procedures.

In addition, you play an important role in enhancing the morale of CAF members by planning recreational activities, outings and events.

Keeping CAF members energized ensures they are mentally and physically ready to sustain the rigours of operations, and live healthy balanced lives.

You will be able to use your creativity in finding innovating ways to help pass leisurely time and will occasionally be able to accompany CAF members for the activity.
