Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication skills and swallowing function
- Provide therapy sessions to patients, utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on speech and language disorders, as well as strategies for improving communication Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in acute care or hospital settings preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to speech and language disorders
- Strong case management skills to effectively coordinate patient care
