Shifts:
Mon -Fri

What does a Recreation Aide do?

Carries out established recreation programs such as outings, exercises, crafts, social events, entertainment, games, etc.
Assists residents to and from programs as required.
Assists encourage and motivates residents/tenants to participate and provide personal care during recreational activities as required.
Observes, reports, and documents any changes, in residents, to the supervisor and/or nurse.
Ensures recreational equipment and supplies are used, maintained and stored in a safe, clean, and efficient manner. Reports unsafe or faulty equipment to supervisor.
Actively participates in C.Q.I. program, meetings, committees and educational inservices as required. Assists in the maintenance of statistical records.
Assists with orientation of new residents/tenants.

Requirements:

Graduate from a recognized Activity/Recreation Certificate or diploma program
Experience in a senior's focused recreation department an asset.
Basic First Aid Certificate (Current).
Food Safe Course or equivalent (Current).
Proof of COVID vaccination

About us:
Braddan Private Hospital is located in Vancouver's ocean-side community of Kitsilano. It is a wonderful recently renovated home boasting beautiful views of the mountains and ocean through large windows. Braddan Private Hospital works in collaboration with the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority to offer 62 beds.
