SUMMARY:


We are currently looking for an individual who is experienced in Plumbing & HVAC to join our Customer Counter team located in Cambridge, ON.


This role is starting as a 6 month contract role with the ability to move into a permanent full time position.

THE SHIFT:


Monday to Friday:
Day Shift


DUTIES:


Reporting to the Branch Manager this role's focus is to generate new and repeat sales by providing customer service excellence at the counter and presenting a professional and attentive image to customers and suppliers.


  • Answer pricing enquiries and stock checks. Provide technical information and product specifications.
  • Enter web orders and accurately allocate it to the respective Branches for release.
  • Coordinate delivery arrangements with the customer and monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
  • Create and maintain product displays that engages customers and helps stimulate sales activity, keeping merchandise and counter areas clean and professional.
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
  • Communicate promotional sale items as well as discounted slow moving and obsolete inventory.
  • Proactive contact with customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and remain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments.
  • Respond to web enquiries (prices, stock checks) within 2 hours of request.
  • Perform various branch administration; vendor returns, expedite orders, quote inquiries, etc.

WHAT YOU OFFER:


  • 3+ years related technical/sales experience in the Plumbing or HVAC industry, ideally within a wholesale distribution environment,
  • Postsecondary education in Plumbing or HVAC, or equivalent experience an asset,
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Positive attitude and customer service oriented with a sense of urgency, and
  • Computer literate; Basic MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills.

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
From $52,000.00 per year


Day range:

  • Monday to Friday

Shift:

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

- plumbing and HVAC sales: 1 year (preferred)
