Career Opportunity:
Internal Communications Co-Op (Four-month Term)


We're looking for a talented and creative communicator who can assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of internal communications to employees at the port authority.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, dynamic communications team.

You'll take on tasks that will help ensure employees get the right information, at the right time, in the right format to help them do their jobs effectively.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Liaise with key stakeholders to request updates, information, and content for internal communications, providing feedback where necessary.
  • Proactively look for opportunities to communicate news, updates, and information to employees, helping to raise awareness and improve understanding and alignment across the organization.
  • Coordinate the gathering of employee feedback and preparing of reports to help us measure and assess the quality, value, and effectiveness of internal communications.
  • Assist with the updating and publishing of content on our corporate intranet site, including the formatting, resizing, and editing of images, photos, and multimedia.
  • Help ensure that all internal communications are on brand and aligned with our corporate style guidelines.
  • Assist with other projects being led by the internal communications and employee experience team and perform other assigned duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES


We're looking for an individual who is both analytical and creative, has strong IT proficiency and can work independently and as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team.

Excellent grammar, punctuation, and ability to write in plain English is essential.

This role requires good judgment and interpersonal skills and an ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.


WORK CONDITIONS

DURATION
Preferred work term would begin September 2023 and last until December 2023.

Regular daytime working hours:
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week


Hourly rate:
$25.00.
