Description

Our team uses their thorough knowledge of their character specializations to develop, test and maintain character motion and deformation set ups.

Working closely with our Modelling team, Rigging Supervisors and Animation Leads/Supervisors, our Rigging TDs help to develop new techniques to create better and more efficient rigs to streamline the production process.


Our team have the ability to build complex 3D Characters by taking direction from the Production Designer and working alongside Development Artists and Character TDs to convert designs into builds.

Appeal is key at Redefine and we expect our Riggers to have a strong eye for detail and aesthetic design.


As the Head of Department, you'll be expected to not only guide the workflows and tools, but also the creation of the global team.

In addition, you'll partner with Animation and Modeling to create characters and environments of the highest standard.


Must Have

  • Experience leading a team.
  • Production experience as a Character Rigger.
  • Degree in Computer Animation or relevant course.
  • Must have keen knowledge and understanding of anatomy.
  • Strong communication skills when working as part of a large team & pipeline.
  • Traditional sculpting techniques using digital tools such as Maya or Zbrush.
  • A strong sense of appeal, form, scale and proportion.
  • Ability to translate abstract character designs to 3D
  • Ability to work well with other departments
  • Ability to work with pipe to design and implement tools and workflows
  • Ability to lead teams in multiple locations across the globe
