Summary:


Working under the direction of the Director of People & Culture, the People & Culture Coordinator will support various people-centered programs and initiatives.

They will use strong administrative skills to support recruitment, engagement, training, and development for all Marcon employees. This is a meaningful role on our team that will be a blend of HR coordination, full-cycle recruitment, event organization and workforce analysis

About the Role

  • Assist with the development of People & Culture systems and processes
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of job descriptions and job postings
  • Review and screen resumes, administer telephone interviews and conduct reference checks
  • Manage filing and recruitment portal
  • Maintain BambooHR system and other systems to ensure that they are up to date
  • Organize interview times and boardroom bookings
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation paperwork
  • Assist with employee relations and requests
  • Prepare various reports using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and BambooHR
  • Assist with the management of engagement initiatives and recognition programs
  • Other People & Culture administrative tasks as required

About You

  • Diploma in Human Resources as asset
  • Basic knowledge of employment law
  • Flexibility to take on other administrative and duties as required
  • Ability to manage and maintain highly confidential information
  • Strong organizational skills, administrative and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and foster effective working relations with peers, employees and guests
