JOB SUMMARY:


This job will be responsible for the manufacture of buffers/solutions required for GMP manufacture, and will follow GMPs, SOPs, and all company policies/regulations.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs all duties according to the SOPs and cGMP's and all other established Health & Safety standards
  • Assists with training of new hires and junior technicians
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives
  • Operate manufacturing equipment for the preparation of buffers and solutions used in all manufacturing operations
  • Setup filters, mixers, weighing scales and other equipment used for buffer preparation
  • Operate Clean in Place (CIP) units to clean tanks and other equipment
  • Assists with preparation (Parts wash, Autoclave, Integrity testing) of parts and components required for buffer preparation and process execution
  • Operate and calibrate pH, Conductivity and Osmolality meters
  • Dispense and maintain stock of raw materials and components
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in the manufacturing area, performs production suite cleaning as required by SOP.
  • Document and record all necessary information/data as per SOPs and cGMP's requirements
  • Diligently responds to deviations from standards by informing management
  • Performs any other jobrelated manufacturing duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applied Science degree/diploma or 5+yrs of relevant industry experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Production experience within a GMP environment

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Preemployment medical and medical reexamination performed every 2 years will be required as per RESILIENCE SOPs. Included as part of the medical is a respirator fit test (half mask), and pulmonary function test
  • Occasional use of a half face respirator
  • This position requires vaccination for Hepatitis A and B
  • Job requires shift work including weekends, occasional extended shifts, and possible short notice schedule shift changes
  • Lifting/pushing/pulling up to 25kg
  • Direct contact with alcohol/chlorine based disinfectant agents
