Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Shipping Coordinator to join our team.

The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for managing the shipping process, ensuring timely delivery of products, and maintaining accurate records.

This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and excellent attention to detail.


Duties:


  • Coordinate and schedule shipments with carriers and freight forwarders
  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs forms
  • Ensure accurate labeling and packaging of products for shipment
  • Track shipments and provide updates to customers as needed
  • Resolve any issues or delays in the shipping process
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking numbers and delivery confirmations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of shipping activities
  • Manage inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of shipments
  • Train and supervise shipping department staff

Skills:


  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in shipping documents and records
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software related to shipping operations
  • Knowledge of phone systems for effective communication with carriers and customers
  • Experience with budgeting and cost control in relation to shipping expenses
  • Ability to supervise a team and delegate tasks accordingly
  • Proficient in payroll processes related to shipping department staff
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar software for tracking expenses and generating reports
  • Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with customers and carriers
  • Strong filing skills for maintaining organized records
