    ​The RBC Dominion Securities Branch located in Hamilton is looking for an Investment Associate to join a Council Team. By joining the team you will participate in maintaining, developing and growing the business by providing exceptional service in an efficient and professional manner.

    The successful candidate will provide dedicated support on investment and money management activities for the Council Team.

    What will you do?

    • Main focus will be on trading
    • Provide support in portfolio construction and proposals
    • Manage Discretionary Bulk Trading lists and execution, Risk Dashboard and IPS
    • Be proficient in Excel and the TAC for PIM and A+
    • Work closely on report building for clients and working with accountants on forms required for tax filing
    • Review portfolios regularly and re-balance them with guidance from the advisory team, manage TAC sheets, risk dashboard, bulk trading, IPS (new and updates)
    • Execute on trades as directed by the advisory team and follow up on orders to ensure proper settlement and delivery
    • Review reports daily and process any necessary corrections and actions

    What do you need to succeed?

    Must Have

    • Approval as a Investment Representative (IR) with IIROC
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
    • Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients

    Nice to Have

    • 4 years or more of professional experience within investment industry
    • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Highly-developed client service skills
    • CIM designation, an asset
    • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities' systems and procedures
