SUMMARY
The position is responsible for developing and implementing creative multimedia content including video, motion graphics, photography, and content strategies.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Participates in the development and execution of the strategic communications plan and content calendar to support organizational and communications objectives.
  • Produces high quality multimedia content such as: video, photographic, and motion graphics for digital platforms and channels including website and social media.
  • Sets and maintains a digital media content calendar outlining communications activities and campaigns.
  • Develops strategies and tactics that amplify the voice of BCFSA as a regulator to support our strategic mandates via digital media and storytelling.

  • Develops and implements digital media content calendar, creative digital strategies, online engagement, learning materials and social media campaigns that support the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Leads digital media content curation for communication channels and, develops, writes, shoots, and deploys content to increase awareness of the organization's mandate and role.
  • Recommends and implements proactive and creative approaches to digital media and new technologies; identifies opportunities to improve engagement with web and social media audiences.
  • Develops and maintains performance reporting and metrics and supports the delivery of interactive digital communications.
  • Manages multimedia communications tools and resources.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with Team Members to ensure successful execution of multimedia initiatives.
  • Contributes to the team's development of internal work practices (e.g., policies, procedures, and tools).
  • Provides orientation and training to internal and/or external stakeholders within area of responsibility.
  • Contributes to, participates in, and supports organizational business transformation initiatives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Degree in Digital Communications, Marketing, Journalism or Broadcasting with 3+ years of experience developing and executing digital communications strategies and projects or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Relevant experience may be from work in Television or Digital Broadcasting, work in multimedia content creation and curation.
  • Selfsufficient and a demonstrated background in filming video, in studio and on location.
  • Proven interview skills and the ability to coach speakers to deliver their best online presence.
  • Strong technical background setting up studio lighting, backgrounds, and green screens.
  • Expert knowledge of current video editing tools including Avid, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro
  • Recent and ongoing experience creating animations and motion graphics using systems such as Camtasia, Articulate and Vyond
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing best practices.
  • Understand the principles of plain language communications.
  • Strong creative writing and editing abilities in English.
  • Ability to lead projects from concept to launch with little oversight using a project management mindset and reporting to stakeholders.
