The Finance function is responsible for providing transactional accounting services and support, treasury, financial planning, analysis, reporting, commercial finance and financial systems support to all business units and functions throughout Computershare across all global locations.


The Finance Change Team is responsible for managing and delivering the finance change initiatives (regulatory or as identified by finance process owners) related to finance processes, workflow, reports, and systems integrations.

In addition, working collaboratively with the Head of Financial Systems and Data, it will set the finance system strategy and manage change initiatives.

Furthermore, the team will support and Project Manage the transitions of future acquisitions or demergers into or out of the global finance teams.


A role you will love
This role supports the Finance COO on a global scale. They will set the strategy for the Change function and develop and implement a Change framework and governance structure.

They will lead operational and strategic interactions by aligning Business and IT resources and facilitating the delivery of change and technology services as necessary to support the achievement of Finance business unit outcomes.


They will also be responsible for the overall delivery of the Finance program/portfolio of change and agreeing prioritization of work with key stakeholders.

Lastly, they will lead the overall strategy, plans and controls, and manage the delivery of a finance change project or an enterprise project over the full project lifecycle (design-build, test, deployment) to meet the agreed business needs, identifying and utilize the necessary business and IT resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for setting the Change strategy, developing a governance framework to manage change and implement the processes across all finance functions. This will be a progressive journey enhancing the framework as the finance organisation matures.
  • Define, implement and maintain the Target Operating Model, organisational structure, and roles for the Change team.
  • Responsible for Finance Change initiatives based on corporate strategy and business plan (including continual improvement and lifecycle management of Finance Business and IT capability).
  • Responsible for the overall delivery of the program/portfolio, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business value.
  • Collaborate with the business in relation to change, ensuring they understand the financial and commercial benefits of the framework.
  • Responsible for managing risks, dependencies and financial/time overruns at the program/portfolio level and ensure that the objectives of the approved business cases are met by the projects in the portfolio.
  • Advocate and help drive the use of Agile methodologies to help the organisation become more agile.
  • Drive change across finance through a thorough knowledge of functional processes and system capabilities that can be adopted to streamline process and drive efficiency. Ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the communication channels and processes are in place to notify key stakeholders so that plans can be amended, and the necessary action taken.
  • Provide thought leadership on all aspects of the program to ensure successful delivery.
  • Develop and maintain key financial controls such as business case development, benefits management and budgets.
  • Act as a point of escalation for programrelated issues.
  • Lead, develop and motivate a flexible pool of Process and Control Leads and Business Analysts.

What will you bring to the role?

Essential

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in an IT or Business related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in a similar function delivering largescale programs.
  • Accredited Project Management Professional such as PMP, Agile, Prince2 or similar.

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualification, e.g. MBA
  • Lean/Six Sigma/Agile exposure or equivalent desired.
  • Scrum Master/Scaled AGILE Framework exposure or equivalent desired.
