Position Overview:


Working within the Project Management Office (PMO) and as part on the Programs Team, the primary responsibility for this position is to establish and maintain detailed schedules for various projects within Aircraft programs.

Provide schedule status and resource loading requirements to various departments. Establish work around solutions, when required, with Program & Project Managers as well as Production Supervision. Provide reports on progress and budget status.


What You Will Do:


  • Develop detailed aircraft production and program schedules using MSProject Server software.
  • Liaise with Program Managers, Project Managers, Production Supervision, Planners and Material personnel to develop project sequencing and dependencies.
  • Ensure schedules have the correct sequence, milestones, resource allocation, task duration, and linkages of dependencies and scheduled events.
  • Monitor schedule progress and highlight deficiencies.
  • With the Project Team, assist in developing schedule recovery plans
  • Evaluate and identify tasks with production constraints and propose corrective action.
  • Conduct weekly aircraft progress updates.
  • Awareness of program costs.
  • Update and maintain schedule performance reports.
  • Highlight critical items with Material and Production and develop work around plans as required.

What You Will Bring:


  • Graduate of Post Secondary Institution with study focused on data analysis, manufacturing or related fields.
  • B. Eng. or Industrial Engineering Technologist or equivalent diploma preferred.
  • Registered PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) would be considered an asset
  • 3+ years' experience in a production environment
  • Sound knowledge of MS Project.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and demonstrated logical thinking. The incumbent must have the ability to think through a problem in a logical and organized manner.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with others.
  • Creative and innovative, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in work style to better respond to multiple requests/tasks and handle sudden changes in priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in a production environment preferred.
  • Experience with J.D. Edwards software considered an asset.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies. Continually focusing on your individual safety and the safety of others who may be affected by your work and to fully comply with all Federal Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 5S activities in your area.
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC
  • Contract Security Program, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
