Accountable to the Manager, Data Integration, the Business Systems Analyst provides customer relationship management and direction in key aspects of project management and system integration functional support.

Responsibilities include systems design, process and workflow analysis, project and workload oversight and work group delegation for the implementation and operational support of system interfaces within the hospital.

The Business Systems Analyst also conducts detailed system troubleshooting, tests software patches, upgrades and supports system implementations by liaising with other ITS teams, end users and vendors.

This position will support system integration interfaces with Oracle Cerner Millennium.

Regular Full-Time

Rate of Pay:
$43.04 per hour - $53.80 per hour

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week


Qualifications:


  • Successful completion of a three (3) year diploma in Computer Science or related field required
  • Minimun of five (5) years recent, related experience with HL7 Clinical Interfaces
  • Previous recent and relevant Oracle Cerner experience is preferred
  • Project Management Institute PMP certification is preferred
  • Recent work experience supporting complex hospital interfaces and how they enable staff and departments to be more efficient and effective
  • Recent work experience with IT software development life cycle management and working with crossfunctional teams to support medium and largescale implementations
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing clinical, business and systems process redesign
  • Demonstrated ability to research and assimilate a large quantity of technical information into practical, business solutions
  • Ability to lead and provide guidance to staff
  • Ability to work with leadership at all levels to implement both strategic and operational change
  • Excellent change management, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Superior written, oral, presentation, and listening communication skills
  • Overtime and possible oncall coverage may be required
  • Ability to work effectively under mínimal supervision and to work as a team member while providing direction to others
  • Demonstrated experience in being flexible, adaptable and open to change
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities & changing demands that require attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements
Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to:

  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis;
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);
  • Provide proof of Health Canadaapproved COVID19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health's current definition of being fully vaccinated
